Fall wedding style - colours and textures

Erin, on April 17, 2018 at 11:06 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 22

Hey ladies! I know Spring has just sprung but as an Autumn bride (and baby), the colours and textures of the Fall always seem to call to me.

What are some of the ways you Fall brides are incorporating the season's colours and textures into your wedding?

I added colour and texture in various ways: flowers, different linens (ivory table cloth with burlap runner), my dress, and even the landscape and venue. Here are a few photos.

Thanks! It was a total random find at Home Sense one day. My husband wasn't sold on it at first but I loved it. When we get a house with a garden I am going to set it up as a little elevated garden feature.

Thanks! I wanted something different and out of the box, but figuring it out has been a challenge. I think I've mastered the approach now though.

P.S. if anyone is looking to do something similar - send me a message and I can help walk you through it! I also have a massive amount of pine cones (my mom went a little overboard), so if anyone is looking for some for wedding decor, etc., let me know.

I really like the complimentary tones in the bouquet and bridesmaid dress. Sounds like you are getting in touch with nature for your wedding! Smiley smile

The first photo is what I've started working on, and I'll add some white flowers, eucalyptus and maybe some dusty miller or lambs ear greenery.

    The rest are inspiration photos.

We're having a late fall wedding too! My bridesmaids are wearing burgundy and groomsman in dark grey, but otherwise our colours are neutral (white, tan, gold, etc.) with a few exceptions. Our name cards will be maple leaves, and I'm doing a pinecone bouquet, but we may also incorporate white pumpkins.

I think even though they aren't traditional "fall" colours.... that vibrant, rich colours like teal and purple are definitely suited to an "off-season" wedding. I think dark/rich colours in the summer can really weigh the look down, unless complimented with lighter shades or whites.

I love the peacock look/theme. I think it's really beautiful.

My wedding is in October 2019, which is the middle of fall but we're not really incorporating the season into our day lol. Our colours are teal and purple, with peacock feather accents and our venue is in an atrium with live tropical plants.

I haven't got my dress yet so maybe there will be a "fall" style I love!
