View quoted message I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought they wanted something completely different. After I left the store I got very worried about the decision because I wanted something so different but my fiancé said the same thing. He knew it was the one the second I tried it on.

It's gorgeous! I wouldn't worry about what other people think about it, in the end the ring is a symbol of the promise you two have made and that is all that should matter.

I got comments about how my ring is so simple (heart solitaire for the e-ring and a band with both our birthstones for the wedding band) and I'm such a loud person that they would have expected a big bling ring or something - people are going to have their opinions, but yours is the only one that matters. (It looks gorgeous by the way!!)

That ring is stunning don’t worry about what people think. You initially realized that you couldn’t afford what you wanted so you got something to still symbolize your love. Now that you’re at a better place, you were able to get your dream ring. That’s a step up! You worked to get what you deserve. Don’t worry about what people say

It’s absolutely stunning! Totally not costumey. I also went into the ring shopping process assuming I’d want something really understated. Turns out it wasn’t a great look for me. I fell in love with one that was way more bling (FH said he could see it in my face, etc.)


Feedback has been all positive, apart from maybe like 2 people who have commented that it’s “elaborate” or “not what they’d want”. I honestly can’t remember the specifics because I haven’t given it a second thought since. Because who cares?! Criticizing somebody’s engagement ring is exceptionally rude. It’s 100% a reflection of the person making the comments and their poor manners and in no way a reflection of the proud owner ☺️
Basically, get what you love (because that’s all that matters), expect that 99% of people will drool over it, if it’s not to somebody’s taste they’ll almost certainly keep their thoughts to themselves, and if someone does voice a negative opinion - who cares?! Their pessimistic and unpleasant attitude isn’t your problem

One thing you should consider before finalizing the order is to try it on with your potential wedding band. The engagement ring is nice but the way it's pictured will only last until the wedding. The way it looks with the wedding band is the one that's forever

By trying it on with a potential wedding band, you'll know what matches with it and whether you need to adjust the rock size to compensate.

I didn’t want anything big that’s going to look even bigger. I didn’t expect to like one of the bigger ones I tried but you definitely shouldn’t change what you want for others. I hear ya! Everyone I know was wanting my FH to pick out a simple ring since I'm very petite but I had told him a few years back what I kinda like and he picked it out perfectly! After everyone say the one he had picked, they loved it! Plus it's totally me!

But we always planned on replacing. We decided to take a look for the “real deal” ring now that we have more money and the second I saw the one in the picture I posted it felt right. I knew it was my forever ring. I’ve always loved the blue and always told him I wanted a ring from the collection this one is from. We couldn’t afford the blue or the collection at the time of the engagement and therefore the first ring. I just worried that other people wouldn’t understand that the old ring was a temporary ring and think I’m being over the top and would think this one is too much or too big or something

Ring looks gorgeous. You need to know how much he loves you and means to be by your side. The ring itself should be what is you and on a budget that fits in your price range. Get what you want and looks as good as the real thing until the day you choose your wedding ring.
My husband back in 2016 wanted to propose to me with a nice ring which would have been out of his price range and accepted to maje the gold ring on my pinky finger the engagement ring instead. It was simple and nice enough the cost. The weddings is what we spend our budget towards the day.
