Engagement party questions..

Kendalevelina, on April 15, 2017 at 12:07 Posted in Before the wedding 0 5

Hi all,

Our wedding is not till 2019, but my Fiances parents are coming all the way to Canada from Australia in just over a months time. We thought it might be a good idea to have a low key friends and family event while they are here. Unfortunatly I donthave the back yard space, so how else do you have a engagement party in spring with out dropping heaps of $ on a day event?

Oh that is so nice! Yes doing it in a parc sounds like a super nice idea! Or maybe you can maybe ask if friends have place.

I rented a room in a restaurant for 30 people. The spend min was $500 and people bought their own drinks. It went really well.

If you keep the alcohol low-key then you shouldn't have a problem. Tons of families in our area meet up at local parks or beaches for family get together soon and BBQs. Lots of sports teams meet up on days their league isn't playing to practice and hang out as well. You can inform yourself with your city to make sure.

I wonder if the parks have an event permit or fee for something so small?
I know for a wedding you need a permit.

You could invite everyone to a BBQ picnic at a local park or something. We have some parks here that have BBQs you can use. Not a lot of money required and tons of space for everyone to have fun!
