Engagement party

sounds like a blast!

We are looking just for some place small to rent either having finger foods or cocktail style very relaxed have some music type of thing. I am trying to find some place to rent that I can bring my own food but not having much luck.

Not sure if we will have an engagement party! We might just plan to go for dinner with our immediate families and our closest friends!

Unfortunately we weren't able to have an engagement party but I have been to a couple for my friends. I think traditionally an engagement party is thrown for you but it's becoming more common for couples to throw them themselves. (I think the tradition way back in the day was that the bride's family did the engagement party and then the groom's family did the rehearsal dinner but I don't know that most people follow that anymore!) The engagement parties I've been to have mainly been house parties. One of my husband's friends did a Paris themed engagement party because they got engaged in Paris. They had a crepe bar set up for dessert and little macarons. It was very cute!

I didnt have one ... we opted to have a Stag and Doe instead and I am also having a bridal shower
