    Long. Two, almost three, years by the time we get married. Moving and selling a house right after getting engaged delayed things a bit, but kind of glad we had some time to enjoy the excitement of being engaged fully before jumping into planning.

    My engagement is very long, just short of two and a half years. We're young, we've been together for going on 10 years and we both decided that 2020 sounds right so we're taking our time.

    We've already been engaged for just about a year now but it's just flying by! I can't imagine planning everything in just one year

    I don't know, we were engaged just under 14 months. It feels short compared to some and long compared to others.

    I didn't know a 2 year engagement was considered long until I came here lol. So I guess ours is technically long, even though I didn't think it was Smiley tongue

    Long! I always knew I wanted a long engagement, we'll be a bit under two years by the time we get married. Sometimes I feel impatient and wish it was sooner, but most of the time I'm happy I gave us so much time to plan and save money!

    11 months from engagement to legal ceremony, and 13 months from engagement to symbolic wedding. It feels like the right amount of time for us to get everything sorted without being rushed.

    I think ours is definitely on the shorter side - we will have been engaged for 8 and a half months when we get married. At the beginning it felt like a very long time but now that the day is here, I feel like the engagement was yesterday.

    Engagement can go both ways depending on the planning process and couple wanting that time frame for themselves.

    For us, it was short 18 months of planning and being engaged unofficial of proposal. The time of moving in together and having putting on rings that were small for him fit me perfect. That was considered our engagement. 3.75 years before getting married then. 18 months beforehand of commitment of actual engagement.

    Long, we’ll be a just under a year and seven months before getting married (December 21, 2018 we got engaged, and we’ll be married July 18, 2020).
