Elopement in the mountains

Ashlee, on May 27, 2021 at 16:28 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5
Just a question for anyone that eloped in the mountains.. what order of events did you do to take up the day?
We are having a ceremony and then applies and wine and then photos and finishing by going to a fancy restaurant (just parents and siblings are coming)
I’m nervous that I haven’t planned enough events? I don’t want the day to be busy (another plus of eloping) but at the same time I don’t want everyone to be bored... any suggestions?

Unless you live in the mountains, I feel like going to the mountains for anything is an event in and of itself so I wouldn't worry too much about it not having enough of a wow factor.

Elopement can be anyway you want to take place in the order you wish. You all will be laid back and enjoying the time as a family. Food and drink can be served after the ceremony or dinner time as you wish when dining out. Champagne may be good to have too to toast right you get married.

My understanding has always been that elopements are more casual and are meant to be laid back with less formal events, but you can really plan whatever you and your partner want. I can't imagine your family would be bored by attending a relaxed elopement and dinner. I'm sure they'll just be really excited and happy for you. But the events you have listed seem like they'll take up the whole day anyway once you factor in getting ready, travel, some rest time in between, etc.
