Eloped in a different country?

My Fiancé and I were thinking about getting eloped in south america, has anyone else got eloped in another country with no family or friends? did you let a company plan it, or did you do it all yourself? id love to hear some experiences as i have no where to start and have a semi small budget but still flexible.

My cousin eloped in Niagara Falls. I've looked into it and you have to make sure you have your license and that it's going to be legal in all states. Some places you get married and it's only legal in that state. So make sure you do your homework before getting married at a different place.

Destination weddings can be costly if you find the right resort or venue for all the guests to enjoy their time.
My in laws eloped with just family and held their reception in town a few months. It was small too.
Anyrhing is possible when you know its the place and guest list for you both.
