I agree with you. Weekends are much easier to plan and for more people to attend vs during the week or even the long weekend and holidays.

That's interesting. I personally find it hard to ask people to take time off their work for the wedding as it is not where we live so most people have to travel. Making it a weekend was just easier for us overall.

That's a good point and I would have avoid having a wedding on the long-weekend thinking that the guest list would be so small that the turn out would be bad and the costs associated with it. Now more people are choosing to get married on Fridays and Sunday's to lower cost. There is one bride to be on here that will be getting married on a Monday, which is cool too.

I find lots of people use long weekends to get married. I can understand on one hand since you're guaranteed more time off but most people usually also have plans those weekends. I would also assume that it would be more costly on a long weekend so I personally would avoid them.

Thanks. I know someone who is getting married today and I thought of looking at Easter Weddings to see if people do get married on that day. Sure enough, people do.
