Easiest Part to Plan?

Elizabeth, on February 4, 2019 at 16:17 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 20

Hey folks, I was wondering what has been the easiest part of your wedding to plan?

I have been getting really stressed about all the decisions we have to make and the push-back so I am trying to focus on the stuff that has gone smoothly. Like picking the date and how relaxed and supportive my bridesmaids are.

Venue because everything was coordinated with timing and service (though dessert was being taken faster than leaving it for guests to enjoy) from wedding set up to reception end.

Reception venue was probably the easiest, we walked in and knew it was perfect,

That's really awesome! Sounds like you did the exact same thing we did, and your place is super lovely.

Lucky! That is awesome, especially since venues tend to be one of the largest expenses!

Venue has been the biggest relief for us... okay for me. My fiance hasn't stressed about anything, lol.. but it was also the most stressful to get started. The inquiry process took so long that I felt like we weren't going to find a place to meet our needs. I got super frustrated because a lot of venues refused to tell us what the price range was; which I understand from a business perspective but we didn't want to drive two hours out of the way and not be able to afford it.

Thankfully we loved the first venue we toured. The event coordinator is absolutely lovely, they are really relaxed on decoration policy, the food is great, it has a ton of character with exposed stone and A FLIPPING WATERFALL!

Plus its reasonably priced. We're booking so early that we got the 2018 prices for our 2020 wedding!

For me, so far it has been our photographer. One of my good friends works as an assistant to a wedding photographer so I’d been following him for awhile and knew he would be my front runner. I asked my friend if she would rather take photos or come as a guest, she said she’d be sad if she couldn’t take photos, so the next day I asked to meet with him and we put down our deposit today! If nothing else goes according to plan, I’m 100% positive we’ll at least have stunning photos 😂

Honestly, the venue was the easiest for us. We had such a great meeting and was offered such a good package, it was a no-brainer!

I agree, the easiest part was definitely picking the date. For us, we realized that the date we met (May 23 2015) fell on a Saturday in 2020. So despite it being a little bit longer of an engagement, we knew we had to get married on May 23 2020!!

For us, the easiest part to plan was picking a date! Everything that came after that was met with certain pushbacks or weird opinions. Don't forget that it's about what you and your FH want...and stick to your guns! People will have a lot of opinions about nearly everything, but in the end, it's not about them Smiley winking

Once you get started on things it gets easier. I picked a date and then stressed about prices of things. Shop around but don’t stress about picking things right away. We booked the venue, photographer and videographer then DJ floral and decor. I’m not worried about things being perfect as long as I am happy and my fiancé is too then it works out.
Hardest thing for me was picking wedding favours lol

We're getting married in our "dateaversary" too! It's a Sunday, which I thought might make planning more difficult; but it has actually worked out in our favour so far.

So far it’s all been pretty easy! we’re 9 months into a 25 month engagement, so we have had lots of time to make our decisions, so nothing has been particularly stressful. I would say the absolute easiest was picking the colours, and picking my bridesmaids

Easiest decision was our wedding date and wedding venue. Everything else - hard lmao everyone has an opinion, there’s so many options - how to choose! Just crazy

For us it was probably picking the officiant. We got a package with our venue for a particular company, and picking who our actual officiant would be from that company was easy. We both read the profiles and picked the same guy as our favourite. We just knew that he was right for us and we've met him twice now and both times we've just left like :ya, he's so great" lol

The only easy thing so far has been saying yes when he asked me to marry him. Everything else has been a nightmare of anxiety and tension and disagreement. Should have picked a white dress and said i do at city hall, then gone home, ordered pizza, and played video games.

Easiest thing part of planning? The fact that I plan to marry my Fiancé Kael Smiley heart lol just try and keep in mind the reason for having a wedding - you are marrying the love of your life!

If we are looking more for an answer that has to do with vendor's and materialistic things - then I would say the dress was easy! Just like the man, when you know - you know!

Glad to see that I was not the only one who didn't have an answer immediately pop into my head. I would say our date was the easiest to pick because our "dateaversary" fell on a Saturday. Only one date to remember now (:

I'm also struggling to answer this! We opted for a long engagement, so we've had lots of time to plan, discuss, and look around. Easiest thing was definitely our date and the music. I knew those things before we even got engaged! Hardest thing was the girls' dresses, but that was only because we fell in love with a particular dress and then went back too late and had to compromise on the colours. We're happy where we ended up, though!
    Good luck with everything!

This is surprisingly difficult to answer! I think the easiest thing to plan was my photographer. My cousin got married a week after we got engaged and I loved her photographer so much that I just booked her ASAP lol. Otherwise, the time of the year and date were very easy for us to pick.

Having the support of my FH and family has made everything easy. Planning what the wedding party will wear is the easiest thing so far. FH knew what he wanted the guys in. And I knew what I wanted the girls in. Now it’s just making sure the girls like my idea!
Ive also gotten a lot of push back from some family members about not having kids at the wedding, the time or day of our ceremony. But honestly, it’s our day. And this is what we want.
