E-vites - When to send out

Marsha, on March 20, 2022 at 12:00 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 8

I will be sending out E-vites and I planned to send them out on May 31st for my Jul 31st wedding with an RSVP for June 11th. I thought 1 week time to RSVP should be sufficient since my guest received an E-save the date Jan 31st.

Or should I send out E-vites earlier in May with an RSVP earlier June?

What do you lovely ladies think?

E-vites can be sent out more than 3 months since my cousins and my sister getting married did that for their wedding. The RSVP date should be 4-6 weeks to get your final count for the venue and other vendors as needed.

The 2 recent weddings I am attending family being e-vites:

April 9th wedding in Cancun, Mexico RSVP date was Feb. for the wedding and flight agent booking to get the discounted rate and the regular rates applied after the deadline given.

June 11 wedding in Thailand RSVP date is April 15. All the guests are to fill their information when they choose at the time given the ladies are given dates for hairstyling too to get done as needed.

If all your guests are local, two weeks should be enough. If anyone is coming from out of town, I'd give them three.

I would give guests more time to RSVP. Atleast 2 weeks but ideally 3-4 weeks. Like Amanda said some people will still need to sort accommodations and work schedules which could take longer than a week

I think that's a good time for your guests to plan accordingly. Some guests may need to find accommodations if needed as well as possibly taking time off work since some people do work weekends etc. Also in January, we still didn't know what was going to happen with covid restrictions. Now that restrictions are being lifted everywhere, your guests have a better idea of how things are going to play out.

So are you saying I can send evites end of April is better? Even though they received a save the date in Jan?

This has me thinking too! I was thinking of sending out my invites 2 months before the wedding. And not sure about date to ask for an RSVP. So 3 weeks before is good?

Usually 3 months before your wedding date is a good time frame to send out your invites that way your guests know a bit in advance.

3 to 4 weeks before is enough time to have your rsvp's back unless your reception needs final numbers earlier then that.
