Dress Toppers - anyone do this?

Morgane, on October 23, 2018 at 16:57 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 12
I've recently decided that I would like sleeves on my wedding dress as I am a little self conscious about my arms. I bought one online in Ivory, but the colour is slightly lighter than my dress. Did anyone wear a dress topper that was a different shade?

Looks stunning!! I don't know if it's the lighting or what, but I can't tell that there is any difference so I would say that it's all good to go!

Totally! I bought a strapless dress a few months back knowing that I could add a topper if I changed my mind. THey can be very pricey, if you are working on a budget. But you can find them anywhere from Etsy, Davids Bridal, JJsHouse, CocoMelody, even Wish has a few.

I've ordered a smaller size, so ignore the large sleeves. I also have a hair clip holding it at the back as there was quite a bit of extra material. But you get the idea I am going for

I've heard of people dying their veils darker with tea bags to better match! Would that be something youd be interested in trying?

I can't see it standing out too much, and like Vanessa said - most dresses have a couple different shades showing so I wouldn't be too worried. Update with pictures?

My seamstress is adding short, sort of lacy sleeves to my dress. Very simple to do, very feminine and made all the difference in making my arms look smaller. Maybe ask if yours can ? But if not I wouldn't stress. If you really look many parts of one dress are already different shades .

This topper is so beautiful. I saw a list on https://gradesfixer.com/free-essay-examples/diversity/ with examples of dresses.

See, I'm trying to find a dress with sleeves for that exact reason (and so I can wear a bra without straps showing!). Didn't know toppers were a thing!

I'm thinking about a topper. My dress is strapless, but I had originally wanted something with sleeves and I still LOVE the look.
I wouldn't be TOO concerned about a slight colour difference.

I didn't wear a topper, but I found an organza scarf/shawl that hid my upper arms perfectly and blended in with my dress so well people thought it came with my dress.
