Dress opinion: Is a ballgown too much for a garden wedding?

Miav, on September 10, 2019 at 01:47 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 16
I saw this dress and really liked it but I'm not sure if it's appropriate for our garden with pond, transparent tent venue 🤔 one of my bridesmaids and future mom in law was with me when i saw it, they said it might be too much. I really like the princess look though! Need opinions please! ❤️

Note: the train can be hiked up with some buttons for the reception

It's gorgeous! If it's the dress you want, then you should have it.

That dress would be beautiful for a garden wedding. Don't regret not getting the dress you want. It'll bring a sophistication to your day.

I think its perfect. Even if it is a garden wedding it feels very elegant and not to poofy so I feel it will look stunning in the setting.

I think the most important thing is how you like your dress and how it makes you feel. Doesnt matter what the venue is.

99% of the time, there is no "right" dress for a venue. The other 1% is maybe don't wear a sleeved ballgown for a destination beach wedding.

You're definitely in the 99% - that dress is gorgeous and no one will think it's "too much"!

Never too much! I have a ball gown and I plan on getting married on a dock on the river!! Then in the evening when we have polka's playing and bonfires outside I plan on changing into a cheaper dress that I can move around in.

I think you look stunning in this one. It's your day. There are people who wear ballgowns on the beach! As long as you will be comfortable who cares. If that's your dress then it's your dress.

I think that if you really like the dress you should get it. I don’t think it’s necessarily too much for a garden wedding. Garden weddings can really be quite elegant. I’ve seen brides were dresses like that to garden weddings before

Not much help here cause I have the same thought about my dress - a blush Lazaro ballgown with about 5 million layers of tulle. But honestly I do not care one bit. I’ve always pictured myself in a massive tulle ballgown and I’m gonna wear the hell out of it all over that lawn. Lol
