Dress alterations left too late?

Brett, on March 19, 2020 at 23:48 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 8
So I have yet to start the process of alterations to my wedding dress for my July 25th wedding. The shop I was planning on going to just announced today they are closing for the time being. So now I’m worried I left it too late and my dress won’t be altered in time. Anyone else feeling this way?

I'd ask friends and family about other at home who do alterations to get done now to avoid waiting on the store to open later and not get it completed on time. Pricing may be better depending on what is needed to be discussed.

I know where I want to take it. But it’s closed until further notice because of the virus.

I have no idea how many I need. Have not taken it in to anywhere yet to find out.

It’s going to depend on what you need done and the sewer. Four months should still be enough time but I’d try to find someone soon.

My alterations don’t start until May 19 for my dress. My store is actually also closing for two weeks.

My store’s recommendations were to keep your dress with you (don’t keep it at the store) in case you need to find somewhere else.
How many fittings did they say you needed? I need 3 and I’m doing one a month beginning in May so I’m optimistic things will settle down by then.
