Does your wedding budget include your fiancés suit if your parents are paying?

My husbands wedding outfit and reception suit was part of our budget since he wanted to get what he wanted style and colour wise. My parents did buy my outfit when they travelled.

We included everything in our budget/total paying for wedding. As my parents paid for catering and my hubby’s family assisted with venue.


But you do not have to in this case, since it’s somewhat of a gift?

Since it is our 2nd marriages we are paying for everything ourselves

For our budget we are only including things that we are paying for. For example my auntie & uncle paid $500 of my dress so I only put in the portion I paid

I have everything included in our budget. My mom and dad paid for my dress but I still had part of my budget as well as my mil has paid for both sets of suits for groom and BM but I still put it as part of the budget

If they were planning on gifting it to you from the get go and there was never intention of you paying for it, I would leave it off the budget. Or you can put a line item for the suit and just have it as zero.

We included everything as ours was more of a "Total Cost" not a budget.

I have EVERYTHING included in my budget, regardless of who is paying/where we are getting the money haha
