Do you tune each other out?

Sometimes, and we’re both guilty of it

He does all the time. He doesn't mean to but he's very 'shiny', very easily distracted lol

I wouldn’t say I tune him out exactly, it’s more like he tells me the really important things when I am always doing fifty things at once and not really paying attention. Then it will be brought up at a different time when all my focus is on the conversation and I don’t believe he mentioned it at all to me. It makes for some pretty entertaining “ discussions”

Sometimes especially if it’s a phone conversation and I’m in the middle of cooking dinner

When it comes to financial aspects, we have to work together and work out a plan. Personal plans are always a split as he always want to have something about the boat as I look at every day events on the weekends when off. Family events, engagements coming up making sure he is off.

Sometimes. I have what you would call "selective hearing"

Sometimes. It depends what I'm doing. He does it always but I feel like every bride feels that way lol

Sometimes, he definitely tunes me out more than I tune him out ahah. But we both have our moments of not really listening when the other is rambling about something

We both do this when we are distracted or tired. It happens.. we laugh about it

Sometimes! If we need some time to unwind and not talk he will play on his computer and I will watch tv. both in the same room but doing our own things.

Sometimes. It's not intentional, but it does happen.

Sometimes.... Definitely we both have short attention spans and it definitely shows because one of us is always having to repeat

Occasionally. I need my space and he's good about giving it to me for the most part. He's the one that can get distracted while I'm talking though. Usually while he's trying to game at the same time.

Sometimes. I’d say my FH does it sometimes but not purposely lol. He always always asks me to repeat myself if he does do it. He notices right away.

We never tune each other out when one of us is talking. We both are capable of going off on tangents on topics that we know doesn't interest the other person, but we smile and listen at least since we both see it as a matter of respect. But as for space, we both need our own time alone which is why we both have our own designated spaces in the house, which we're lucky to have that kind of space to do so.

Sometimes. I can get flustered and when I do I tune people out. FH also talks to himself a lot so sometimes it's hard for me determine when he's talking to me and when he's not.

We live in a one-bedroom condo, so there's not a lot of places we can go to get some peace and quiet. So we just put our headphones on, or go the bedroom.

I'm guilty of this.
Especially lately, with so many medical things going on with our kids, I tend to be far, far away in my own thoughts, trying to plan our next steps. He's very understanding with this, even when he's trying to tell me a funny story from his work and I respond apropos to nothing about medical research I read that day.

I think everyone is guilty of doing this. I would say he does it more than I do. Playing a video game and listening is a hard thing to do LOL

We sometimes do this to each other. More often than not, it's because the one wasn't actively listening when the other started talking and it took a while to tune in.

He tunes me out sometimes. I can be a pretty annoying person though hahaha

I think we are both guilty of this one once in a while. I have told him a few things 3 or 4 times. Hopefully we don't make it a habit and always tune each other out....
