Do we tip our elopement planner/photographer?

The amount paid seems enough to give a thank you card. The services rendered doesn't need any tips from my view.

Agreed! When they work for a company, the company takes a cut of the profit you want to go to him but when it's their own business they get everything and prices are whatever they want to make!

I wouldn't tip him then. He's already setting his own prices so he can make a profit off of the service he's providing you with. I'd write him a great review online (granted that he provides a great experience), and I would give him a nicely written thank-you note and that's it.

Does this professional photographer own his own business or is he working for someone? If he owns his own business then you don't need to tip him!

I would tip, especially since they are helping you with so much! The 10-20% is a good range to go with to, depends on the level of satisfaction with his services.

Typically you would tip all wedding vendors so you would tip them both separately. That's awesome that your photographer sets all that up for you though! Usually the larger vendors you tip 10-20% of the total package cost.
