Do my wedding colours work?

JuneBride, on April 20, 2018 at 12:25 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 9
I want my colours to be dark red, white and champagne. The table clothes, napkins and chair covers will be champagne, the plates white and the centerpieces dark red and white. The bridesmaids will be wearing dark red and the boutique will be white with a bit of red. Mine will have a little more red. Do you think I need to incorporate more of the champagne colour ? Maybe in the bouquet and centerpieces? Another question I have is the groomsmen will be in either dark grey or black and their flower will be white, does their suit have to be one of the wedding colours or are they the exception? Does that mean I will have four colours at my wedding? I'm not sure how it works with the groomsmen.

Great colour scheme and works well together. Light gray would work with the dark tone of red and not clashing due to being all dark.

They sound like a great foundation for a colour pallet! I definitely think it will turn out beautiful!

Now that I see the colour pallet I'm positive that black suit will look so much better than a dark grey.

Thanks. I think dark red tie for the groomsmen will look great with a black suit. Maybe the groom can wear a white tie to separate from the groomsmen?

I think the colours work fine! I found this online:

Is this kind of the idea? Except add in white of course?

I think it's a great combo! Though I do agree with the other comment I think the guys would look much better in black suits over a grey with this colour pallet, and like in this pallet too if you have the hints of champagne a touch of gold every so often will really make the pallet come to life! Very elegant colours!

Also too! If the guys are having white flowers on them I would suggest a red tie that matches the girls? Having them match more I prefer a lot and i think with that colour combo it would look REALLY good!

I think what you have sounds good! It would look nice if you wanted to add the champagne colour in the bouquets and centerpieces but I don’t think you HAVE to. I think for the guys since their flowers are white that includes your wedding colour, you can also accent them with ties and pocket squares in one of your colours but I don’t think it means you have a 4th colour if they are wearing dark grey or black. I really think you can do whatever you want when it’s your wedding, being creative and showing your personalities is so fun! Maybe your fiancé’s suit can be a different colour than the groomsmen? He could wear black they can wear dark grey or vice versa. I know they’ll also make some suggestions when the guys go to purchase their attire based off of what the girls are wearing. Our sales associates were helpful for us. Smiley smile

Black is a classic for men. I think it will look much cleaner with your colours than grey.

I don't think you need to worry about adding more champagne colour, I think what you've described sounds like great pops of colour with a nice clean base.

You could consider adding some shimmery metallics (champagne-y coloured) to the centrepieces, in very small amounts for a bit of glitz.

I think the lighter, clean look is much nicer than too heavy... especially for a June wedding!
