What's your entertainment style? Are you down for a DJ who can play all the current hits, or do you like the dance vibe of a live band??

    DJ for the reception and at the cocktail hour we will have a violinist who will also play at the ceremony.

    Neither. We're doing a playlist we're working out ourselves. I have a music degree and my FH performs in musical/opera as a hobby. I'm sure between the two of us we can figure out a good list. :-)

    As much as it would have been great to have a band just not in budget plus not as much dance variety as a DJ has. So we had a DJ.

    DJ! I love the idea of a bank during cocktail hour but they can't really play good party/dance music I find for the reception.

    DJ - we are self DJing infact. FH used to be a DJ so he wants to DJ his own wedding.

    DJ - price wise it was the better option and they will also have all the music you could want as compared to a band.
