DIY or Buy? - Card Box

I was going to DIY until I found the cutest fake book box from Hobby Lobby. The large birch box was just too perfect and fit the theme!

We are going to buy it.

For this item I bought a super cute rustic suitcase

I love the card boxes that I’ve seen on Etsy but seems I can only get them from the US and some don’t ship to Canada. So not sure yet.

I am making mine. Already have the instructions on how to make it, but still working on gathering the supplies.

We made our own. Sort of... We went to buffalo to hobby lobby and got a cheap box and made our own cute little CARDS sign for it.

We are DIYing this! Actually, my dad is! He’s built us a treasure chest keepsake box that is going to be used for a card box at our wedding. It’s sooooo beautiful and since my dad made it for us, it’s extra special!

I’m thinking of buying a box or case off of a buy and sell site and tweaking it to go with our vintage theme!

Kinda diy. I am renting a birdcage and going to jazz it up with flowers and ribbon.

I was thinking of making one, but found one at Party City for a decent price so we will buy that!

I’m not massively handy so I’m gonna go with buy! We had the option to use the box that my fiance’s Dad and brother built after his brother’s wedding, but honestly it’s too big and clunky, I’m hoping for something more delicate.

DIY! We had a flower bouquet in a wooden chest gifted to us. Once the flowers died we cleaned it out and decided it's perfect for the wedding card box!

Making it. Bought a greenhouse from ikea and will be adding a decal too it.

DIY- kinda? We bought a wooden crate from Ikea that we will be decorating and sprucing up!

Found a cute greenhouse via Ikea that we’ll likely customize, then actually use as a greenhouse afterwards.

I ... SORT OF.. made mine.. ie. I bought a mailbox and put some letters on it.. lol

My FH has a friend who is skilled in wood work/craft projects. Our venue has a lot of wood beams, and we are using a lot of rustic touches, so I want to see if he's able to make a box like this:

If not, I will still be doing something DIY, probably finding something at a thrift store I can refurbish/transform into a card box.

The venue we're probably going with actually offers a really nice card box so we will likely go with that!

My FH is a carpenter. So he would like us to build a card box together. Can’t wait to start working on it with him!

DIY - I'm enlisting my dad to build one for us.

We borrowed one from my sister-in-law. She had purchased an old suitcase to put the cards in for her wedding, so we borrowed it from her.
