I feel like this is an awful idea when I think about the week before. I'm making my own decoration and hiering someone for the backdrop and hanging fabric, I'm doing my bouquets and all the flowers in the ceremony space and reception as well as the center peices (dad is doing them, the welcome sign...
I feel like this is an awful idea when I think about the week before. I'm making my own decoration and hiering someone for the backdrop and hanging fabric, I'm doing my bouquets and all the flowers in the ceremony space and reception as well as the center peices (dad is doing them, the welcome sign and the seating chart sign) ...



So now the cake , I can't justify spending that much money 800-1000 on cake , not everyone eats it. Dessert from the venue Is 1000 ...

If I make my own is this too much?

    I will say that personally I think you’ve already taken on a lot and adding making your own wedding cake to that is likely too much. Making a wedding cake is very hard and I’ve heard a number of stories of people who bit off more than they can chew by attempting to make one of their own.


    To save money you could get a small cake from a bakery that will be much cheaper for decoration and the cutting and then buy sheet cakes from a grocery store or Costco to serve to guests.
