Different coloured dresses for small bridal party?

Lizzy, on January 4, 2022 at 19:46 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 9

Hey everyone! I'm starting to look into bridal party attire, and I need another opinion on this!

We have a small wedding party (3 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen). Originally I was thinking of all three bridesmaids wearing burgundy dresses, but now I'm toying with the idea of having my MoH wear blush pink and the other two wear burgundy. Would this work for a small group, or would it be too much contrast?

A gradient is a cool idea, I’ll definitely keep that in mind 😊

I honestly prefer the mismatched bridesmaids look! I’m doing sage green and mauve for mine.

You absolutely could do this! I'm doing mismatches (and some patterned!) dresses for my wedding and I'm so happy with the decision. Since there are only 3 bridesmaids, maybe think about using two tones of burgundy like the first photo Amanda linked above to help everything flow nicely and create a gradient.

I like the idea of miss-matched! Not just colour but design too. Dresses can be very expensive, so being able to wear it more than once would be a bonus for your bridal party....

Personally, I think mismatched is much nicer than a row of adults all dressed the same 🤷🏻‍♀️ just have to make sure the colours don't clash and putting them side by side is an easy way to do that 🙂

Im obsessed with the mix match colors for the bridal party lately. If I had more bridesmaids I would absolutely be doing different colors. I think because the colors you are picking are complimentary it would work and look great!

Nothing wrong with mismatched dresses. Matching is overrated, in my opinion.

I think it will be fine! My recommendation is to try and have blush and burgundy flowers in their bouquets and that will help tie it together!

I think that would be a great combination and the blush pink would go lovely for the MOH with the rest in burgundy. Here's a few examples
