Hello all : )

Let's talk numbers! It's obviously a huge help to know what you are looking at for confirmed guests for planning purposes. That being said, curious to know, out of your total number of invited guests, what % roughly ended up declining?

I read you can count on 15% roughly. Was this your experience? or if you are in the planning stages still, are you finding there are guests whom are unable to attend? and are you shocked at these numbers or not so much?

We had a very small wedding so everyone we invited thankfully attended so no shock in numbers for us.

Yea! Hopefully it stays that way. From everything I’ve seen/read here and on bridal Tik Tok I’m mentally preparing myself for some people to just no-show on the day of or last min decline. Hopefully it doesn’t happen but we’ll see!!

We invited 125 and 87 attended the wedding. We had a couple of last minute declines on the day of as well...would have been nice NOT to have received that text in the middle of the day

So far we are having closer to 30% declining. We invited 143 people, and 44 still haven’t RSVP’d (lots from out of town) so that number will probably change.

I am still waiting for my declines, sad to say will help my budget since we originally told the Venue 35 and we have 45, we have 4 declines so far. I'm only really expecting 1 more person to decline but there's still lots of time.

We invited 98, including multiple out of town and out of country invitees and we’ll be having 88 coming.

That’s amazing that everyone invited attended!
We’re still in the planning stage, but two couples have said they likely won’t get their travel visas in time. I won’t actually know until a month or so before the wedding.

Our guest list without the wedding party is 100 people and have only had 4 decline after receiving their save the dates.

We are having a 40 person wedding and so far we have had 1 decline - but we reached out over a year in advance on who would be interested, this decline came out of no where (his mom is diagnosed with cancer so he is moving out of province) but besides that it would of been a yes!

We invited 132 people and have 113 confirmed guests. Seems like the 15% decline estimate is fairly accurate! It also depends on how much notice you give people, and how many people you are inviting from out of town.
