Destination wedding planner?

Marie-Josée, on September 21, 2017 at 22:10 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 6
Hello, my fiancé and I are getting married in a small town in Nova Scotia next August. We've been going back and forth on whether or not to get a wedding planner as we live in Calgary and are unsure if there is a point? We seem to have a good hold on getting things done from here. Being new at this whole wedding planning thing, can anyone please tell me some advantages of having a wedding planner, and perhaps some advantages of not having one? Thank you!

It seems like you’ve got a good handle on things so far. Wedding planners can be expensive.

$3500, but that included a lot of other things like the officiant, cake, bouquet & boutonnière, my hair & makeup, and a few other things I can't remember.

Hi Daphne, What did the wedding planner cost you?

We went with a wedding planner because we also did a destination wedding. We didn't want to have to deal with all the vendors while being so far away, so the planner did all of that. We gave them direction and they asked us loads of questions and we just answered with what we wanted. The main benefit was not being stressed. My sanity was well worth the cost.
