Destination Wedding Help!!

Jackie, on August 7, 2019 at 23:10 Posted in Plan a wedding 1 9

My fiancé and I are looking to plan a destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Resort has to be kid friendly 🙄🙄. Anyone have good or bad experiences to share? It’s overwhelming to look at these catalogs with dozens of resorts! Any advice on the best carriers to book with? ❤️

I’ve been looking at the Blue Bay wedding packages. How was your experience planning your wedding with them? And if you don’t mind sharing which wedding package did you pick?

We have a wedding in November at the Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda. We stayed there two years ago and it is awesome so I'm super excited for our wedding their. Also check out www.destinationweddings.com --> they help you get a wedding planner for free for destination weddings.

We are having our wedding in November at Bahia Principe Tulum beach. We are staying at Bahia Principe Coba- this resort has 4 different resorts in one- Coba is very kid friendly. We have 13 children coming on the trip with us. I would take a look online at more information. This is directly from their website.... “A secluded retreat nestled in a coastal paradise with everything your family needs The best family vacation spot in all of the Riviera Maya. A hotel where adults and children can have fun together, but at the same time enjoy their own space, all while delighting in beautiful natural surroundings. The perfect opportunity for intrepid families to immerse themselves in a fascinating culture.” We went last year with a group of 15 adult and had a lovely time. I did see all the children having a blast around us, several activities for them also.

We love the Sandos resorts. We usually stay at Sandos Caracol because my kids love all the eco activities. For a wedding I would recommend Sandos Playacar. The beach is actually not bad in Playacar.

We are doing a destination wedding in Punta Cana next year and we booked with Sunwing. We ultimately went with them because they offered the best rates. So far, they've been pretty flexible with flight times and departure cities. There are horror stories for every airline so I'm just hoping nothing goes terribly wrong for us!

Also, we have a travel agent, which I highly recommend if you don't already have one. She's so helpful and takes a lot of stress off of me as she can answer all questions guests have about travel and the resort!

Look around for other resorts in the area. They may have better reviews and kid friendly as they would be for families to enjoy. Compare and then see if this is still the best resort you want.

Riviera Maya has excellent food! However, a word of warning, the beach is corroded there. If you’re a beach person, there’s not really any beach to enjoy.

i stayed at Blue Bay Esmeralda and it was great! Kid friendly.
