Destination wedding for February 2022

Destination weddings would be a difficult issue to look into right now because of travel bounds and deposit losses. I would say your aunt has a point and wait until things start to clear up and then inquire with Caribbean resorts to book your date and find out about paperwork to be completed. I know some of my cousins went this route and they had to make 2 trips at least for arrangements and taking things over to store for their wedding. A small wedding can be done now and have a larger celebration for the destination wedding as one of your family or friends can act in the Officiant place.

My Fiancé and I were considering a destination wedding for May 2022 and my aunt who is a travel agent advised against it. Saying there is still too much unknown for international travel next year. She also said some couples are having a hard time getting any money back from destination locations

I'm not too sure if you're going to be able to have a destination wedding in February but maybe if you guys can wait until 2023 you might be in the clear

I'm not sure about planning a destination wedding for next Feb but my wedding dress is super simple for Jan. I could easily wear it on the beach or dress it up for a winter wedding.
Over a light dress just for pictures. It's not likely you were planning on getting married outside in Feb so I don't think your dress will matter as much for warmth. I think any dress you get for the beach you'll be able to add some kind of accessories if you have to make it more for winter....
I got some cute sparkly boots for winter that could be switched out for sandals if at a beach.
I wish you luck with planning the destination part of your wedding. I think my head would be spinning if I tried to do that right now. However, we are finally at 40+ this week in Ontario so things are definitely looking up for everything.
