I'm not sure! I think my FH literally showed them a photo of my ring and they made it better to be honest. They might've sent him like a drawing of it? I'm not sure though.

My ring is custom so my engagement ring jeweler has to make a custom band too.

They've told me a month, but I'd definitely allow more time than that just in case. I'm going to get our bands a few months before the wedding and just store them somewhere.

My FH designed my engagement ring it took about 4-6 weeks if i recall.

It takes a few weeks and seems pretty straight forward. My husband designed mine, so I'm going based on what he told me. My husband had the gemstones already and had a definite way he wanted them arranged. The jeweller explained any issues and, I think, based on what my husband wanted produced a couple visuals that were possible. Once one version was chosen, it was really quick.
