Days Off

Donna, on February 8, 2019 at 20:48 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 11

I am the only one that goes stir crazy at home, thinking what needs to be done next. What have I forgotten what needs to be done, what's next. It's like I can't seem to sit down for too long. Is this normal.

We are now less then a month away so I need to force myself to take time away from planning. I am also making a point of setting time aside with my FH where we do not discuss wedding details.

Its never easy knowing what's done and to be done for checklist.

As I researched and finalized the vendors and venue, I started making notes of how much it cost and whom I went with to know that part of the checklist is complete. Payments were noted as they were made and on what date.

To be done list was looked at knowing the next vendor (must get) had to be looked up.

For sure!! Well, I know there are several ladies post-wedding still on here... now including myself. It even helps with the post-wedding detox haha.

I had to get used to it... I had 13 months to plan, and I had to adjust to realizing that I could go a whole month in the middle without having to do anything... Honestly, coming on here and helping other brides really took some of my bridal energy/nerves away, because I could channel it outwards, without driving my own friends and family crazy... haha.

YES, THIS. And also, I feel like I am a terrible friend right now - the only think I think/talk/care about is the damn wedding.

Totally normal. I have an ongoing list of things that need to get done that just moves week to week. It absolutely gets to me sometimes.

I honestly would go nuts without those "do nothing" days! I feel like my brain is in wedding mode SO OFTEN you need the down time. Sometimes a break and coming back is also a good way to look at things with a fresh mind which is always good!

    This is totally normal.

It’s helped me to brainstorm what needs to be done and then create checklists off of those tasks.

My FH and I also have regular planning meetings to ensure everybody’s on task.
