David’s bridal online

Emma, on September 15, 2018 at 18:02 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 9
Has anyone ordered any dresses from David’s bridal online? I’ve finally decided I really want a second dress so I have something that’s not so cumbersome and easier to dance in. I’ve seen a couple things online at David’s bridal that I like. I’m trying to be as cheap as I can since I already spent more then planned on my actual wedding gown.

The David's Bridal in my city allows drop ins. It's preferred you make an appointment, so they can have someone waiting for you, however, I've dropped in 2 or 3 times and I was trying on dress, or bridesmaids were trying on dresses, within 10-15 minutes. Also you aren't shopping for a wedding gown, you're essentially trying on their special occassion dresses (I tried on a few of the short, white dresses for my bridal shower recently)... so it should be easier to go in. You don't need as much assistance with those dresses.

I say go in person... because just off the dress you posted, I'm already hesitant. I saw this dress, and didn't even try it on because it looked so boxy on the hanger, it did not look like it would fit like this photo shows... However, it totally could, and looks are deceiving.

Overall, I say just pop in when you can. They aren't going to turn away business, and if you're going on a weekday morning, chances are they won't be as busy anyways (compared to evenings and weekends).

    Good luck!

This is one dress I’m considering. But I’m not sure if it’s “dressy” enough.

Yeah well I can’t do that. The only way I could go is if i fund myslef with an extra hour someday. I can’t do an appointment period. I need to just be able to drop like at a regular store. And when I’m free would likely be a “busy time”.

As I said. Shopping in person pretty much won’t work.

Doesn’t hurt to give them a quick call and ask!

I’m sure they would of course prefer appointments, but if they’re not busy, can try and accommodate walk ins.

But can I just walk in. Like say this morning go in and try on dresses that would be under $200 that I can get now (since I only have 3 months).

I initially bought my first wedding dress online from DB (image attached), as we thought we would have a simple destination wedding with just the two of us. When I received the dress, the quality was great, but I hated how it fit on me. It hung weirdly on my body and didn’t flatter me at all - size was big as well. Finally, because we decided we would have a big banquet hall wedding in Toronto instead (long story short - fiancé’s father past away), I went into the actual DB store and fell in love with a dress. It was a great experience to be able to actually try on the dresses and see how they fit on you.

I know this is a second dress for dancing that you are looking into buying, and not the official wedding dress, but I think trying on any dress in person is better - that way you don’t have to risk not liking how it fits on you, or being disappointed about the material etc. Also, it would save you the hassle of having to initiate online returns.

Kids for sure come first - but because it’s less than 3 months, I think making the time to go in store to try on a few dresses would work out in your favour. You can try on the dresses and see what fits best - reduce extra alterations and wait times for shipping!

    Best of luck Smiley smile

Because I only have 3 months and between work and the kids back in school and all
their activities I don’t know when I will have time to get to a store. Kids come first so that means most of my shopping is done online either late at night or while I’m waiting for kids at some place or another.

Why do you want to go o line with them instead of in store? Is there not one close to you? I feel it always easier to have the store be able to measure you in person and they can order anything on the site for you!
