David’s bridal

Angela, on January 18, 2021 at 00:00 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 13
Does anyone in Canada have experience buying bridesmaids dresses from David’s bridal. It seems all the dresses I like in the color ballet don’t come in any sizes? But the USA website it does... but it won’t ship internationally? I’m super discouraged. I’m looking for spaghetti strapped satin dress in blush or dusty rose

When I was a bridesmaid for a friend we got our dresses from David’s Bridal. We ordered in store where they took our measurements and what not. You should still be able to order through the store without going in, if you call. You’ll have to know your measurements and obviously the style/colour. Alternatively you can use a shipping forwarding service. I just used Shipito.com to have David’s Bridal fabric swatches mailed to me.

Sorry I totally lied in my previous response. The colour of the dresses are “petal” NOT ballet. Here’s a better pic also! The dress on the end’s colour is “bellini” and is more orangey-pink!David’s bridal 1

Hey! This is my sisters bridesmaids dresses from David’s Bridal in Ballet pink. We were able to just call the store and have them ordered ($15 shipping fee if they were to be delivered to our homes in different towns- we are in Alberta, Canada). Even in Covid when I ordered mine it took about 8 weeks to come.

I was just in David’s bridal today in Calgary looking for dresses for my wedding in June. The rep told me that she can “rush order” any of their bridesmaid dresses that are NOT available in their warehouse. I chose a dusty sage spaghetti strap type dress for my girls, the rep called the warehouse, said they had 48 of that gown in the warehouse so they can for sure be in in a few weeks. Summary: call an open David’s shop, give them the style number and colour, get them to check warehouse or rush order potential. Hope this helps!David’s bridal 2

Oh my gosh!? That long?! (I know the postal right now is crazy, and that we're in a lockdown, but this really puts my timeline into perspective now!!)

My David's Bridal is closed, for the lockdown. So of course, no one is answering the phones, so I've been kind of in the dark. Thanks for the heads up! I'm just hoping I can get my wedding dress altered (that way if I have to postpone my wedding I can at least have my dress for an intimate ceremony).

I feel like it took about 6 weeks. This was pre-covid though, and I noticed on their website that they are increasing production time but the details aren't out until Jan 22nd. Worth looking again then!

I plan on my girls ordering their dresses for May in late Feb/early March, to be on the safe side.

Those are beautiful colors! I was also looking at petal ballet and Sedona but I could t get the swatches and was worried so I ended up just getting ballet. I hope they come in on time 🙈

So originally we had petal, ballet and sedona. When the girls who were getting sedona tried to order, they were told it was discontinued so they ended up getting Vera Wang's blush colour. So now I have my matron of honour in petal, then two girls in ballet and two girls in blush... there isn't a drastic difference like there would have been with the sedona but I think it will still look great!

Thank you! Yes I looked at azazie i do love the dresses I wish they had crepe satin which is what I’m looking for. But I’m thinking I might order from them in chiffon fabric instead. How long did it take to get your stuff?

When I was a bridesmaid for my friends' wedding we had a not-nice experience at David's - the consultant measured everyone and then proceeded to body shame two of the bridesmaids for being bigger. It was bad enough to make us all decide not to buy from them, but instead went online and ordered from Azazie.

Azazie is where we're getting dresses for my wedding too, because they really can provide for any size! They definitely will have the colour and style you're after, if you want to check them out. And you can get swatches if you want to check out the fabric and shade first, of course.

I got my bridesmaid dresses from David’s Bridal. We went in the summer because I had a feeling we would be going into another lockdown. The girls all found dresses they liked and the consultant explained the colours that were available. Generally if they are David’s bridal brand dresses, they come in any colour and can be made to order. We got a bunch of Vera Wang dresses which when we went to order last week by phone, many of the colours have been discontinued and can no longer be made to order. This meant we had to change some of the colours we were going with originally but we were still able to keep them in the blush family.
