Date nights

With all the excitement, running around, stress, and planning, what do you and your groom do to stay connected and not think of wedding planning for a few hours? We enjoy going to the drive in, cuddling in the car, watching a couple movies and just enjoy us and holding hands. No cell phones, no wedding talk, no plans. Just us.

That's nice and perfect. We live together also and are home bodies, but there is something to getting ready and going out, that change a the routine. Plus the break from planning lol.

We do random spontaneous nights of going for a long walk or go see a movie. We have lived together for three years and see each other every night but usually just sit at home and chill. We rarely go out and when w do its amazing Smiley smile

You sound like a great team!!! Congrats on the PhD (for him), and making it through it. It's good to take a minute just to enjoy Each other.

So lovely! It's good to be reminded to stop and breathe every once in a while and let go of the wedding talk. My FH and I actually stopped the heavy plan; he's doing his PhD, we have a few things to fix around the house and those are enough to deal with, without having to add the stressful topic of wedding planning. I didn't want to plan it alone, since he is the one who has strong opinions about many of the aspects and I feel like this is something we should work on together, at least in the preliminary parts (which are the parts he cares about most - budget, venue, food, guest list, etc). Anyways, I'll be sure to keep this in mind and as inspiration; we already don't do this much right now but hopefully we can once his PhD is done (hoping for January!!!) 😁

Yes I get that? And mayne as we get closer we won't be able to do it as often either. I just know that we need our down time from it or we don't deal with Each other as well lol.

We hand out with friends or designate one evening where we don't do wedding stuff. These days that is a little difficult since our wedding is in 42 days.

There are 3 that we go to in our area. Starlite in Hamilton is the one closest to us but our least favorite, our Favourite is Can-View drive in located and Fonthill, and the other is 5 Drive which is in between Burlington and Oakville.

We are able to do it right into November almost December. We went one night and it was snowing not hard, it was a light snow, but it was just so beautiful and romantic. Then it starts up again beginning of March. We will have to find something else to do for Dec, Jan, and Feb, though and not eating out! Lol. Yes yours is getting really close, but try and give yourselves and hour here or there.

That is so nice. I guess you won't be doing that in the winter! LOL. With our wedding in 36 days, that's all I think about now. My fiancé is the type of person who would have wanted to elope and not have all the fuss. I'm the one handling the details and I don't say very much to him about it. He's renovating the house for me to move in so he has a lot on his plate. At the moment, there is no getting away from it due to time constraints.

We also pack a little picnic and take it with us. We always get popcorn though.
