Creative Alterations/accessories Additions

Hello everyone!

I am curious if anyone has ever gotten a cape, hooded cape, cape sleeves, or cap sleeves added onto their dress (instead of the typical dress and veil).

If so what was the cost, process, and result? did you like it?

Oh ok! Some dresses when I went shopping 2 years ago, had capes that were already attached to the dress. You might have to look around at different designers and see what's out there.

If you're looking for a cape, Laura Canada has 2 different styles and 3 colors to choose from

We were looking at a bunch from JJs House cuz my fiancee bought her second dress for a family ceremony off there. Just a warning that you will get charged duty when ordering from there but if you get the sleeve/shoulder wrap option that costs under $100, it won't be too much. Can't speak to the quality of their capes/wraps but my fiancee like the fabric and cut of her dress, even more so than Azazie so take that for what it's worth.

Oh for sure, I certainly don't want to attach it to my dress. I want detachable cape or cape sleeves. Just wanted to see if anyone has purchased or created something like that..

If you opt for a cape, I think it's cheaper if you get it as a separate piece instead of attaching/sewing it onto the dress itself. We've seen a bunch of winter ones on Amazon when we were considering a winter wedding before (quality and price will vary).
