So I need some feedback.
Neither I not my fiance like the idea of corsages. They just feel old and dated and unnecessary to us so we are planning on skipping them for our mother's. However I still want to give them something so that they stand out and feel special on the day. They're both very sentimental and lean toward a lot of the old traditions. I also don't really care for flowers that much so we are keeping them to a minimum for decor. We also are planning to skip boutineers for the guys and instead have pocket squares.
I was thinking of getting some old vintage or vintage inspired broaches for them. Maybe some that say mother of the bride and mother of the groom. We will be having lots of vintage and 1920's and 30's elements incorporated into decor as our venue is a historic building from the 1930s. So they wont seem out of place with them. What are your thoughts? Is this a good alternative or is there something else you can suggest?
