Nancy, on September 20, 2018 at 06:46 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 9

Hello,
I am just wondering if the colors are close enough and would work together?

I think all shades of purple compliment each other... Right off the bat, I think these totally go together. I loooove the plum purple of the dress, and flowers are something that vary from bloom to bloom, so I think as long as they are complimentary you're good to go.

You girls are all making valid points. I really appreciate the input on this. I am just started planning the wedding and it wasnt an issue until the bouquet. So i would be fine using that exact bouquet for my own but the bouquet for my MOH should be different?

The others are right; it is so hard to compare colours on screen. The best bet is to go in person. I feel that the flowers would either match the dress too much or clash with it if they are different shades. I would try pairing with ivory/light pink flowers with greenery instead (there are even green orchids out there that would go amazingly with this!)

Emma hit it right on the head - best to see it in person!

The dark purple to go with the dress clashes in my view. Lilacs seems to give that contrast of light to dark. It will shine through well.

I believe the others are right - it's best to see in person as a computer can alter the colour that you are seeing but with that being said, it does look like a perfect match to my eyes!

I agree with Emma! Matching colours of photos online is never a good solution... also I feel like if the flowers matched the dress they might be washed out and blend too much with the dress making them not be as visible? I would recommend doing more of the cream flowers with that dress and maybe give the purple flowers to the bride in a white dress!

It’s hard to really compare colours on the screen and not in person. But it looks like the dress is an eggplant colour similar to my daughters (MOH) dress. I’ve found it’s really hard to find that exact colour. So I’ve gone with complimentary colours and various shades of purple.

I think they are close but be prepared that it won’t match exactly. I went with an ivory bouquet for her to carry.
