Colour pallet!

Sheilah, on May 29, 2018 at 09:08 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 19
Hey all!

We are having such a hard time settling on a nice colour pallet! We are getting married in August and are having a brunch reception. We have gone back and forth on so many different colour styles. Now we need some opinions!

Do we do a nice, neutral thing with some light pink, red and a rose gold? Or go bright with a citrus combo? Or just go full on bright colours? I attached a couple pics to give an idea of what we have looked at. The only thing we know for sure is we need red - he loves red - and a shade of pink - for our daughter.

I am also getting married the same month and have similar colours for decor/tables/flowers as picture 2, so I will have to go with.. picture 2! The colours are elegant, yet modern, and since it is a summer wedding, it will suit the season. I am also a huge sucker for cute things, hence the soft colours.

The citrus theme sounds wonderful!! Why not have pink flower and red as an element with your food or drink? Like a red apple french toast or fruit punch. Or red napkins or place settings cards.

I really like option 2. It would definitely fit with the theme of a brunch wedding and brighten up your venue Smiley smile

I like option 2 with your red and pink, along with citrus accents, which I feel fits summer better!

I personally think that #2 would look best in that particular venue. I LOVE #3, but I think it might be a little too bright for the space (with that wall colour). That being said, depending on what you do (if you are doing draping, etc.) #3 could totally rock! I think any of those choices would be fine. You do you. Smiley smile

Citrus looks nice and colourful. I did something similiar with beads and LED lights. Simple and elegant was my choice.

You can literally do anything with this space as it's a blank canvas! I would definitely go with the bolder colours for this one.

Our venue has no decor and is very neutral. And the ceremony is outside. I'll attach a pic of the venue. It's a blank slate and we can do whatever in it they have said.

TBH, when I read the colour combos I was thinking that you may as well go with the first option - but after seeing the second picture my mind was changed! I adore how fresh looking the yellow/pink/red/orange looks Smiley smile

Where is your venue? It sometimes all depends on what your venue looks like on it's own prior to decorations being added.
