Collecting photos

Candace, on April 9, 2019 at 12:36 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 21

Most of us have probably gone ahead and hired a professional photographer but I'm sure we also want some candid photos of our guests. Maybe even just some different angles of the same event?

How are you planning on collecting all your guest photos from the night?

We are using our wedding hashtag for any photos being shared on social media but we are also going to ask our friends to email us photos that they don't post Smiley smile

We had a dropbox link where guests could send us copies of their photos as well as a hashtag for social media.

At the reception, you can always have a note to have guests send pictures to your facebook, twitter profile or by email. This will allow you to save it to pictures file. There is a link on WW as well to have your guests add their pictures once added their email address and they accept then add all the pictures.

Enable everyone's email address you know and get them to do so once the wedding is over.

I was thinking of just having a photo album, but I like the sound of a frame too!

I'm thinking the typical hashtag thing but I love some of these other ideas like dropbox. I'm curious if anyone has used any of these websites that collect picts, and do they work?

Thank you ! Yes we are. Our officiant and photographer recommended it. We might set up a go pro attached to the arch. Or a cam corded on a tripod to get some ceremony footage. Haven’t decided yet.

Oh a polaroid guestbook sounds fun! I never thought of doing something like that! Are you going to put them all in a frame afterwards?

Most of our guests will be my FH's family that he isn't close to, so I actually don't really care about getting too many candids. Our close friends will use our wedding hashtag, though - on snapchat and instagam.

We're using a hashtag, photobooth and having a Polaroid guestbook so we'll be able to capture all of our guests!!

We’re going to use a wedding hashtag for Instagram!

Otherwise, I’m sure people will tag us on Facebook.

I made these up and they are going on all the place settings. Smiley smile . They look even better now that they are printed at cut out on card stock.
And then just hoping guests upload with the hashtag ! I’m sure if older guests take photos they will email them or something. But this should encourage guests to capture some candids Smiley smile

We will also probably have the MC mention it, and that photos can be emailed as well.

And then we have a photo booth as well. Where all the guests get a print out, and can text them to themselves. And then we get a usb after with all of the photos.

I'm using the hashtag in hopes that they use it but otherwise I will have the wedshoots app on our wedding website as well as I will be making a FB post encouraging people to send me photo's they took on private message Smiley smile

There are quite a few apps now that people can share them all on if this is best. My one friend who is getting married is also setting up a dropbox account for everyone to send them the photos through.

I never thought of this. We don't have a hashtag or anything so I'm not really sure how well do this. Better start thinking of ideas soon! Lol

I have majority of everyone coming to our wedding on Facebook. So I will make sure they post all their pictures online after our wedding and then i can go through and save the ones I want.

Also asking guests to email them to me. I am not a fan of the hashtag, so we are not doing one.

I am hoping people use our hashtag we have and most of our people are old school so I didn't want to do the wedshots. Thought about asking to email and passing the word around that way.
