Co-ed Wedding shower

Amyfanggg, on September 28, 2017 at 23:00 Posted in Before the wedding 0 9
Has anyone done a co-ed wedding shower or wants us? I told my girls that I want a co-ed one instead of briald shower, only cause I'm an awkward gal, don't know how to entertain a group of people, and don't want to be the center of attention. What kind of setting was the shower in? What activities did you do?

We had my shower at a local brewery. It was ladies only through the gift opening and they guys showed up to have some beers and hang out. I would have made it co-ed, but my mom was throwing it and didn't want it to be co-ed the whole time lol

We hosted a wedding social at my mum's place. We invited everyone who lived in town to come out for a bbq and an afternoon of chatting and lawn games. We also requested no gifts as we both feel that pre-wedding events seem to revolve too much around money and/or gifts.

I hostessed a co-ed years ago... we did a backyard BBQ. Burgers, dogs, chili and of course chili dogs! Lots of salads, wine & beer.. it was summer. Family and friends on both sides were invited... young and old (20 yr to 93)... no kids. It was a great afternoon party that turned into a fab meet and greet. Best time. We called it a stag & doe

My FOH and myself were just at a home sales party, that is typically women only. He was a little weary at first thinking that he would be made fun of, but by the middle of it, he was right in there and so we're the other guys. It was so much fun to have the guys there, and it was like a shower setting, he can't wait to go to another one. I would love to have the guys at my shower.

I think it's a great idea. And makes it more about you and your hubby together.

I had a surprise shower thrown for me and my husband, it was coed and really fun. It was at my mom's house, and we didn't really do many activities, just hung out, ate great food, and opened gifts. I enjoyed it.

These days it's becoming more and more popular and i like it! I'm a bit awkward around my FH's family, so the idea of having a party for ME with all of them around and him not there is scary haha It's something i've thought about as well!

When it comes to co-ed i think men vs women activities is popular and can be super fun!

I think that’s a great idea. If your girls want a “girls only” thing, they can always have his/hers games/activities at the co-ed shower. This way the typical celebrate the bride can still be kept, but minimal all attention on you.
