I completely understand that! Im so overly honest with my mom if she says something I don't like or tries to dispute something I do want. I tend to give a "wtf are you serious look" lol in a nice way and then say ya no this is what's happening cause it's me, and what you want is you, which is fine for your choices in what you want to wear. It's not like you are trying to make her wear those shoes. She loves you, when she sees you in person and how happy they make you and how excited you get looking at them and putting them on. That is one way to look at it. It's hard cause she is very traditional, so its hard for her to know my plans to insert nerdy things into the wedding.

It's understandable that your mothers approval means a lot. I have had some disagreements with my mom but at the end of the day I tell her this is my wedding and not hers, she already got to do what she wanted for hers so I will do what I want for mine especially in terms of what I wear. At the end of the day she will love everything about you from head to toe on the big day. They are your feet, she will understand if that is what makes you happy

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that but it would be a fair comprimise. But she hasn't seen them in person yet, just pictures. I am hoping when she sees them she'll change her mind.

These are so cute! If you want to meet her half way, maybe you could wear different shoes for the ceremony, then change into these at the reception?

I can totally understand. My moms the oposite. she has her own life and stuff so she doesnt even put herself in the planning or anything ahah. I kinda have to get to her talk about it! too lade back in my taste! Maybe you two can make a compremise like have these during the reception and another shoe during the ceremony? You do want to be comfortable during the reception for sure!! I wouldnt put these in the closet just yet!! Let us know if she changes her mind

The dress will be long. I know she doesn't like the whole 'nerdy' thing in our wedding. Its just frustrating cause her approval means a lot, but some things I wont budge on.

I agree with Katherine, these will go with anything!!! its your wedding! are you wearing a long dress, tea length or short? You can just tell her you wont be it anyways!! You want to feel comfy on your wedding day! Mine will barely have a heel and are shoes I willwear in the future aswell!

Thanks, that's one of the reason I got them. I thought they would too, but you know those stupid nagging doubts about little things.
