Chilly fall wedding - what do you do for shoes?

Dominique, on September 27, 2022 at 21:51 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 8
Hi there! I'm planning on a late October wedding and loooove planning way in advance. I'm trying to get my shoes before my dress, but I'm not sold on booties. The thing is, I know I'm going to be chilly! Outdoor ceremony and photos.. or do you think some warm pantyhose for two hours will keep my toasty enough?

I'm not kidding when I say I am a cold person, all summer I had an electric blanket on, my heater in the office on. I love +30 weather.

So I have wedding hacks to share.

I'm a cold person in general, but let me tell you, I was hot just trying on dress, they seem to keep the heat in. Wear the shoes you like and put the toe warmers in them. get double sided tape and tape them on the pads of your feet. I also plan on switching to runners or warm slippers, my dress will be long no one will see my foot wear.

Shoes can be so tricky this time of year for a special event especially a wedding! It's totally up to you and whatever you wish to wear : ) but me personally I am not a fan of open toe after early September...there's just a chill in the air that feels off having my toes exposed haha! It's a shame you're not into booties because I think there really are some cute options - depending of course on what you're dress looks like (I think getting shoes before a dress can be tricky sometimes keep in mind you may be matching your dress to your shoes instead of other way around...).

Depending on your style and what you are going for I feel like a cute dressy pair of cowboy boots could work too! (but not sure if that is at all your style or vibe haha)

You should consider your shoes based on the grounds you'll be walking on and the type of dress you're aiming to get. You can get away with heels on paved solid ground but I'd avoid them for anything like a wet grassy or muddy area. Depending on the length of your dress and how much it covers your feet, you may be able to get away with less glamourous options that are more comfortable.
