Cheryl: my low-cost wedding

We knew from the beginning that we wanted a small family and friend wedding, nothing big and fancy like a lot of couples have. We have wound up saving so much!
Some ways we've saved are we got rings we both liked that happened to be on sale. For the engagement and both of our bands, we only payed $300 approximately! I got my dress second hand, it needs a lot of work but the total bill should only come out around $200!We are having our ceremony at a local park and the rental fee is just over $20.Our reception is at a hall that's local as well and it's just under $150.We also plan to DIY our decorations and my bouquet as I'd like to have something I can hold and remember my day with.
I still love everything about my wedding, I really don't mind that it's not extravagant because I'm not one to like those things! Thank you for reading!! ?

    I'm looking for short or tea length lace dresses with nice full skirts- I like a sort of retro style i think.
    Who knows - maybeI'll try them on and change my mind! But you are right, seeing details feels great!

    That is so good to hear- and I agree. Park weddings seem so intimate- even though theya re in the public!

    My planning is great. I know I need to get my butt in gear and try on some dresses though! Now that we have the "big things" booked, I feel more comfortable to start looking

    Park wedding just seem to be more romantic and personal it seems! Luckily he lives in an area that has MANY options no matter where we look. Everything is just panning out perfectly so far! How's your planning going?

    Hey Cheryl,

    It sounds like you got some great prices and booked with the right places! I am also having my ceremony at a park- just got the permit today (City of Toronto was not as great of a fee as yours though!)..
