Changed the date

Kelcie, on January 3, 2021 at 13:55 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 10
Hello everyone!

Hardest decision we have had to make up we moved our date from June 12,2021 to May 28th 2022. We felt that we would not have our dream wedding come June and we have a lot of older/high risk people attending and we couldn’t even imagine having to tell some family members they can’t attend if there is still a restriction on number of guests.
I have cried for weeks trying to make a decision but my fiancé and myself have decided this is the best option although it sucks as we have been engaged since October 2019.
Good luck to all everyone who still plan on getting married this year and I wish you all the best and hope everyone has there perfect day! ❤️ Changed the date 1

Its a tough call to make though your making sure your family and friends are being safe at the same time during this time. Your family being supportive in your decision is great to know the family will come together and have fun when all is open and clear.

Yes currently we are ten as well.. I have a huge family and being European, a big wedding with all my family and friends is just expected -we also thought about just making it small and intimate but I just couldn’t imagine my day like that !

I hope your wedding is perfect ❤️

Absolutely, I feel like we are doing the right thing at this point and it broke my heart to move it but it’s for the safety of everyone and who knows what stage we will be at come June. I can’t imagine planning like crazy for five months and not getting everything fully out of it.

I am so sorry to hear that you chose to postpone your big day!Smiley sad

We are having a June 2021 wedding, and at this point I still refuse to postpone. However, we do have a plan B for a smaller backyard wedding, if it comes to that. The current restrictions still allow for a 10 person outdoor wedding, in my Province. This day is not for my guests (as much as I'd love for them all to be there), it is for me and my fiance, so if it ends up being just us, I will still be happy to be finally married to my best friend!

I’m sorry you had to move your date out - I’m sure that was not an easy decision to make. We may be doing the same later this year (we’re scheduled in for September right now), so you definitely aren’t alone!

It might feel crummy now, but you'll be happier in the end! And you might be even more grateful when we find out what the world is like in June.

I'm so sorry that you've had to switch dates. I totally understand your feelings. It's never easy having to wait another year to be married. We're in the same boat with a lot of older people in our family that we don't want to compromise their health with traveling for our wedding My fiance and I postponed our August 8 2020 wedding back in May.
