I’m trying to find a good price for log slices, I really want one for a cake stand like this , any suggestions on a local business or farms that may supply them ?

    I would try finding a local lumber yard or sawmill that may let you take some wood round scraps for free.

    Lumber stores should have logs that they can cut for you. Another way to go is gping to a tree farm to get one log and borrowing a chainsaw from a friend.

    If you have an Amish or Mennonite community near you, they usually will chop a slice of a log for you. You'd just have to sand and varnish it.


    That is what my friend did for her wedding.

    I second Facebook wedding buy and sells! Those are in right now, so there are so many being sold!

    I was able to find an amazing deal on a Facebook wedding buy and sell group - I know when I was looking at other sites they were way too pricey! I love this idea - we bought 20 to use as center pieces as well
