Good morning ladies,This week we were watching a CBC marketplace investigation on how vendors increase their prices when it comes to weddings. The reporters went undercover asking for the same items and one would say it's for an anniversary and the other for a wedding. Limos are the worst offenders! My FH and I decided to not go with a limo! We just needed one for 2 hours (and that's already and stretch!) They all wanted 3-5 hour minimum!

Yes, exactly what I've been saying!!!! I have reached out to vendors initially not stating what type of event and disclosing only once necessary. Thanks for sharing this

I've been saying this for years. As soon as the word wedding enters the conversation, people only see dollar signs. People wonder why the average Canadian wedding costs about $35,000 these days! I'll have to watch the full episode later.

I agree with you Katherine. I was telling my mom and finace that the minute you say wedding, the dollar signs come up for some of these vendors as there those that do have the best interests for the couples.

It made me angry but I was not surprised ... It's very interesting that limo companies are some of the worst offenders.
