Can we have friends and family prepare our meal for the wedding or we need a special licence for that

You shouldn't need a license. We're doing our own catering, so we're preparing all the food ahead of time. My dad is a Mason so we hired them to do the actual day-of cooking and getting the food on the buffet tables. We're having a gourmet BBQ burger bar!

I don't think you need a special license but there may be some rules from your venue.

Check with your venue. I'm pretty sure anyone can make food as long as the kitchen is inspected (which it should be).

You might need someone with food safety training, although probably not since it's a private event, but most municipalities offer the training pretty cheap.
