Cambridge butterfly conservatory wedding

Corina, on December 5, 2016 at 09:48 Posted in Wedding reception 0 10

Hey everyone! I am looking for anyone who may have gotten married, or are interested in getting married at the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory on Ontario? Its sort have been my dream to have it there for a while but I am wondering how the pricing compairs to having it somewhere like a restaurant or hall? One big bonus is we can purchase and bring in our own alcohol and their bartender will serve it!

    Hi Corina,

Your best option is to shop around. Are you having to cater food in? I booked my Ceremony at Black Creek Pioneer Village and then booked the reception at a hall. I was lucky and got my hall for $67.50/per person and te $2.00 extra for some finger foods to be served as people are entering. This includes a 7 hour open bar and a midnight seafood and sweet table. Maybe you can look into doing somethig like that, host the ceremony at the Conservatory and the reception elsewhere. Ultimately it's your day, and you need to be happy with your decision. Have you had a consultation with the conservatory yet? If you're catering in you may want to consider all the possibilities of issue that may arrise. The caterer being late, the food not being as hot as you may want it, etc. Then the added stress of having to provide your own alcohol. I'm sure which ever way you choose to go it will be beautiful. I love the idea of the conservatory, especially for photos.

    Hi Corina -

I can tell you that i have booked my wedding at a hall in Woodbridge.

Full menu (antipasto bar, 2 pasta dishes, a meat dish, salads, desserts, and late night snacks) plus open deluxe bar, and it came out to around $105 per person (plus taxes).

I say if the Conservatory has always been your dream, then go for it! Smiley smile

Hi Corina! Smiley heart That sounds like such a lovely venue!! Smiley love One thing I would recommend is to check how much the other vendors you would have to hire would cost. That way, you can evaluate if an all-inclusive venue would be ideal for you or not. Here's a little something to help: 6 hidden costs you should ask your venue about

Did you already visit the Cambridge butterfly conservatory for your wedding? How was it like? Send some pictures! Smiley love What was your favourite thing about the venue?

I know I told you my thought on this ( IE bringing in your own liquor with no mark up is GREAT)- but be sure to keep the fee they charge for the bartender and the insurance in mind for your budget!

The menus really do look yummy, and like reasonable prices for a good meal. I think you could swing it in your budget Smiley smile

Some retaurants will be similar, and a lot of Halls require you bring in your own caterer, or might charge to set up or rent chairs....all things to consider! I suggest creating a spreadsheet to track it all and compare
