Sounds the same way I had thought things out for dessert. We too had a small 3 tier cake with other alternatives served with our plated dessert chosen off the menu. The cake tasting for us was easy and the baker was trusting in making the cake choice and tasting the custards flavours for each layer differently. It was great and awesome in the end.

We had three layers and each could be a different layer. Every single sample was phenomenal - and I'm incredibly picky since I bake on the side - so as much as we wanted to be a bit creative, we went with the most standard options for the bottom and middle layer - chocolate cake with fudge buttercream filling and vanilla with vanilla bean filling. We chose our favourite for the top smallest tier - lemon with coconut cloud filling. For only one tier - I'd go with your favorite!! It's your wedding!!

I'm sure we will at some point during our trip! We're planning on staying out there for a month now next summer if things go as planned. Make up for the 2 lost summers because of covid!

Since my fiance and are getting married in a different province, we're not able to have a cake tasting so we're going with the safest bet 2 layer cake one chocolate and one vanilla

We're waiting to see what restrictions will be in place before deciding on other desserts. What flavours did you test? We did cookie and cream, coffee, tiramisu, hazelnut, white chocolate, strawberry, pistachio, orange, lemon, mango, caramel, and vanilla.

We had our tasting last year. 12 flavours. Got the whole family in on it.
