Buying bridesmaid dresses through virtual appointments

Niki, on February 2, 2021 at 12:12 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 2

We are getting married on June 6th, 2021 and I have my appointments coming up for bridesmaid dresses. I am wondering what everyones experiences have been with ordering them through stores virtually/how you went about sizing your bridesmaids etc.

My bridesmaids will all be in the same colour but different styles. I have saved links to about 20 dresses to show my bridesmaids so they can choose. The appointment I made is to pretty much talk to an associate through a virtual meeting, while they show me a selection of dresses. I am assuming I will ask my bridesmaids to measure themselves and then order the dresses for them?

They also offer try-ons at home but require a $200 non refundable deposit (it goes towards the dresses) ... but what if I end up not wanting to go with that store?! This is where I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much for the advice, those are great tips and I'll definitely bring that up in the appointment!

You should ask if their dress sizes are comparable to most brands so your bridesmaids have a good idea on what fits them. And rather than having the associate hold the dress with her hands, try to get them to put it on a mannequin. It'll allow you to see things like how the bust fits, how much potential cleavage, how the material falls etc.
