Buyers Remorse

Thanks everyone! Reading through the comments is making me feel a little better about it. Hoping my photographer captures it nicely.

I do because I could only afford a simple dress so sometimes I wish I could have gotten my dream dress but I know that wearing it at the wedding is what makes it special

I loved my dress from day one but the dress in store was a different colour combination so until it came in I wasn't really sure if it was going to look as good as I kept picturing it in my head. Once it arrived and I tried it on again I was in love all over again! I think your photographer will know how to make it sparkle in photos and you will look gorgeous!

Nope! as much as i loved the original dress i tried on, i love the one i bought- especially as it was on sale at 80% off!

Hmm... don't worry about how some people's photos look... If you love the dress, that's the most important part. I know my dress in the stock photos online barely shows any of the detail at all... but in the photos I took when purchasing it, you can see every little bead/pearl...

Also, if you know you want the sparkle to catch the light, let your photographer know ahead of time. Maybe they can either bring additional lighting, or situate you for photos that flatters the dress best!

Nope - I love my dress, and feel I got a great deal at 750$.

Keep in mind with photography of dresses - it could be the photographer, the lighting, the setting/background that is making the dress look less than stellar. Trust in your photographer, tell them your concerns and see what they have to say.

Here's an example of an outfit I wore to a wedding and had a picture in, vs virtually the same outfit photographed by our wedding photographer during our engagement shoot. See the difference in how it looks? Colours pop a bit more, the angle is more flattering and it just looks better.

The difference will be ten fold with an amazing, sparkly wedding dress!

Honestly, I had been second guessing my choice because I bought it off the rack a couple sizes too big and although I really liked it, I wasn't sure I loved it.

Yesterday I had my first fitting after my pinning appointment with my seamstress and she has worked absolute magic - it now fits like a glove. After leaving my fitting yesterday I truly felt the doubts lift away.

I think it's hard to compare seeing it online because it's not on you and every body is a little different. One of the things with sparkles is they're often hard to capture in photos. But you picked it because it suited your body so I bet it will look better on you in photos than you think! I would just maybe give your photographer a heads up about your worries and they will do their best to capture it and you in the best way possible

Some regret because it was $900 and I will only wear it for a few hours for 1 day.

I heard some people transform their wedding dress into lingerie or other clothing after.

I kinda do to some extent - one of the reasons why I said yes was budget, it is a lovely dress but I'm not like IN LOVE with it as I hear other people are with theirs. Everyone said it looks amazing on me but I think if I had a bit more money I would've bought something that I absolutely love 110%. I feel like I settled.
