Bridesman Proposal gift?

Amylee, on September 22, 2021 at 20:33 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 8
Hi all! I am in the process of planning our wedding for December 2022! Currently I’m trying to plan out bridesmaids proposal gifts. I will be asking my sister and three other girls to be bridesmaid, and my brother to be bridesman. They all already know I’m going to ask them, but are waiting for the formal proposal lol.

I’ve picked out cute necklaces and earrings for my girls to wear on wedding day and will put a few other things together for them. But I’m stuck for something for my brother? He’s not a big jewelry person, and Cuff links seem cheesy… any suggestions or ideas?
Much appreciated!

    Hello Attlee,

I did not do a proposal to my bridal party. However, I did buy my bridesmaids robes and bedroom slippers and the groomsmen bow tie/tie, pocket square along with shirts and socks.
So maybe you can get your bridesman a cool socks and bow tie?

Cufflinks are only cheesy if they're the novelty kind. A nice set of proper cufflinks is awesome and goes well with a tie bar in a matching metal.

If not cufflinks, how about a watch?

Of course, you can always give him something not related to the wedding. If he's a gamer, a gaming mouse or a new headset is always nice. If he's into outdoor things, a utility knife or a thermos could come in handy.

A nice set of cologne is nice to give along with whisky flask if he enjoys drinking personalized with his name. You can give him what he does enjoy a lot to use on daily basis.

Also, sorry about the wonky formatting in my response. Hopefully it’s still somewhat readable, lol! Gotta love cellphones. 😅

Hmm… well without knowing your brother or what kinds of things he’s into, some things ideas that I could think of based on my own brothers/FBIL might be:
    - a nice toiletries set, ie. some beard oil (if that’s applicable), hair products, fancy soaps, cologne, etc.
    - a set of some fun, patterned socks that might suit his personality (can’t go wrong with good socks)! For example https://www.fridaysocks.com/ (I believe you can also order custom socks through their platform too, not sure about the cost/quality as I’ve never done it personally).- if your brother enjoys sipping on something from time to time you could get him a bottle of scotch, whiskey, etc. Pick his type of poison. - some tickets to something he might enjoy, for either him and a date or for you and him to enjoy as a brother/sister day (sports game, golfing, beer festival, wine tour, etc.) - there are also a ton of gift boxes for men out there you can either buy, or just use to draw ideas from, such as a beef jerky box, smoked meats and cheese, as an example (https://www.mancrates.com/ for some ideas). These are just a few ideas off the top of my head, but think about some things that your brother might enjoy, or something that you and him might have enjoyed together in the past and have at ‘er! I think you can find a range of things suiting any type of budget, just have to get a little creative!Good luck! ☺️

This is what my fiance and I did for our purposals for MOH and BM. You could totally do this for a bridesman if you wanted to!
