Bride men & Groomswomen

Kayla, on August 11, 2019 at 08:33 Posted in Wedding fashion 1 7
I'm having my two best friends (males) stand on my side for the wedding. My fiancee is having one woman on his side. Were trying to figure out the best way to coordinate what they wear. Has anyone had experience with this before? I'm not worried about the dresses because they're all different anyway (something like in the pic) but should i distinguish the guys on my side from the guys on the grooms side?

I like that idea! I was kind of thinking of letting them all wear what they wanted, just have the colors flow.

We are only having men on his side and women on mine - but I would say the deciding factor is if they are wearing the same colours or not in general!

For instance - my BM's are wearing plum and his GM are wearing grey suits with teal ties. If he had a woman on his side I would want her to wear a teal dress and if I had a man on my side I would have him wear a grey suit and plum tie.

I was at a wedding last summer and the groom's sister was standing with him. The other groomsmen were wearing navy suits and she had a dress in a colour that matched. The bridesmaids were all wearing grey. I think it looked great!

I am having my son and daughter stand with me and FH is having his best friend and his daughter stand with him - but, we are letting them chose what to wear, and aren't concerned with them matching at all, but that's just us, and not very typical. Smiley smile

I was at a wedding recently where this happened; I found it very neat that the bridesmaids wore a burgundy dress while the grooms woman wore navy blue. They also defierentiated the groomsmen from the brides men through similar colour schemes

My wedding colours are green and gold with pops of purple. bridesmaids will be wearing the green, and my FH’s groomsmaid is going to wear the purple; the groomsmen will all have purple ties to tie it all together

My "person of honour" is going to be wearing a suit in the wedding, they are going to be in a coloured suit (we haven't decided on green or burgundy) while the men on my FHs side will be in brown vests and pants with different coloured collared shirts.
My FH also has a few groomsmaids, mostly masculine in their clothing preference so they'll match the guys. However one of them is pretty femme and will definitely be in a dress, we're thinking green for her.
I guess the main way we are differentiating is that everyone on my side will hold a bouquet, and everyone on my FHs side will have a boutineer
