Bridal shower games or prizes

Ludvis, on April 11, 2018 at 14:20 Posted in Before the wedding 0 9
So I’ve realized that I got super excited about planning a shower, I over bought prizes and can’t come up with games........
I have bridal jeopardy, price is right, x under a chair or plate, who has or found the groom, address the envelop, how many kisses in a jar and bingo for gifts....
my prizes are random so I need four 1 winner games...

Ah, okay. We played them at my cousin's bridal shower, we got everyone seated for gifts, and played one game before and one game after, so everyone played.

The "Don't Say Bride" one kind of goes on for the majority of the shower, so you could have a main winner and runner up for that. If you don't want to spend too much on props for it, you could get a heart shaped post it note pad or something, and everyone gets one stuck to them when they get there.

Sounds good but we agreed to not have a lot of paper games because no one ever played them at her sisters and think it’s a waste. There’s only a max of 30 attending

    - How Well Do You Know the Bride?

    - Don't Say "Bride" or "Wedding" (You give out a ring or pin to each guest, and if you say Bride or Wedding and someone hears you, they steal your ring/pin, whoever has the most rings/pins by the time you go to do gifts or whatever, they win)

    - Guess How Old? (get photos of the bride at different ages on a poster board/or frames, guest with most right answers wins)

    - What's In Your Purse? (gets the guests more involved, have a list of items at different point levels, whoever has most points wins, could have a runner up winner)

    - Also lots of cute print outs like "Emoji Wedding" (guess the wedding phrase based on emoji's) or "Disney Love Songs" (pair the song to the movie)... Can be found online and printed out.

I went to a bridal shower and we played a cute game that was all questions about the bride and groom like where they got engaged and stuff like that to see who knew them the best. Everyone seemed to like that. I agree with Stephanie though not to add anymore maybe you can put your gifts together to make them super awesome gifts lol to cut down on too many games or save them for something else. I hosted a baby shower and by the 4th game ppl were losing interest a bit... but that was the last game. Prizes were mostly bath and body works candles and hand soaps which people loved!

For my sisters baby shower I bought scratch and win tickets from party city!
I'm sure they will have them for a bridal shower. For a group of 60 women it worked perfect because it didnt get too noisy and people could play at their own leisure (for people like me that get so awkward playing interactive games!) I've also done "who knows the bride best" where you can have the bride answer a series of questions and you can leave the survey and pens out on the table to collect close to the end of the afternoon and announce a winner-again, this way not forcing anyone to partake in super interactive games if they are older, not outgoing people, or just want to socialize and enjoy the party without being interrupted to participate

I think the games you have are good! I wouldn’t add anymore. I just had a wedding shower that had a lot planned and it was a little too much (and I love shower games!) If you want to give out the prizes, I would suggest something quick like the person with the birthday closest to the bride, groom, their wedding date and their engagement date. Or, the people who are wearing one or both of the wedding colours or something else similar.

    That’s so awful to hear!
I felt like even though the venue is small for her shower, she needed one because we didn’t do an engagement party for her!
The bachorlette party planning is next but I need a bunch of assistance. These parties add up in cost if on own . But she’s my sister from another mother so we’re like fam

I recommend checking out Pinterest for ideas! There’s so many out there, I’m sure you’ll be able to give away all those gifts ☺️
